Catherine lives in North London with her daughter. Catherine has been working in the SEN field for 30 years and has spent most of that time specialising in autism. She has worked in a variety of settings mostly for Barnet council – FLASC manager, Play Team, Education Mapledown School and the family support team. Catherine joined RFA in 2004 and has enjoyed growing and developing along with the organisation.
Catherine’s ethos is the pursuit of happiness and acceptance for all people with autism. She believes that Play is intrinsic to us all and this remains her passion for wellbeing and sense of self. Believing that if we can achieve some happiness and feel accepted by the world around us then the rest will come.
Catherine also is the lead for safeguarding at RFA and has specialist knowledge in SRE and Mental Health (personality disorders, anxiety and anorexia).
